Welcome to phred, the underground Web server at North Lake College.
You can read about phred, or even see a picture of phred by following
the links below.

A place to learn about browser safe colors.

If you are interested, your final exam schedule is available for your planning convenience.

If you are interested in the history of our servers, read Phred's story and learn about this server...
If you are a Unix professor, join our online community, CRISP
(College Resource and Instructor Support Program).
Be sure to visit Red the home away from home for Louis Taber's wonderful materials.
If you are having trouble using Telnet to reach our Unix machines, you can use this page to reach them. Remember, you still must have an account on one of the machines to use that machine.
If you would like all the cgi scripts associated with More Excellent HTML, (and some other stuff that was hanging around too), I built a tarball for all of it. (Remember, most of the cgi scripts are Unix shell scripts, 'cuz Unix is the most common OS for servers.)
Want to see some pictures of the unix servers
Bonnie and Clyde?   Warning: 3 large JPGs on this page.

The following code will call a function that will automatically update the "date last modified" based on the date stored with the file. It is a neat feature, feel free to steal the code, a nd use it on your own pages (Don't forget to steal the functions, in the file dlm.js).
